Baby Massage

Touch is one of the first and most important senses to experience. The most natural thing in the world for a new parent is to cuddle, stroke, and rock their baby, with massage being no more than an extension of the desire to hold, touch and provide comfort. Massage is not only a pleasurable bonding experience for the parent and child, it also encourages a little one to become responsive and sociable.

Calm soothing strokes help to ease anxiety and minimise crying. Massage stimulates the production of ‘feel good’ hormones and endorphins affecting baby and parent.

Much research has proven that psychologically and physically, development is more advanced.

Research has also shown that massage can boost a baby’s immune system, lower stress levels, relieve colic and encourage sleep.

Baby massage has now become more popular in the western world, unlike other cultures, such as Indian, where massaging baby from birth is an important part of daily routine to keep the little one in good health.
