Linda Bond

     Person-centred, Solution-focused Therapy

What I Do

I provide face-to-face Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for children, young adults & families experiencing trauma, stress, anxiety, bullying, relationship issues, cultural issues, mental health issues, depression, family breakdown/divorce or bereavement.

My Aims

  • Build trust and rapport
  • Create an open, therapeutic environment in which to explore my client’s situation
  • Identify solutions that empower my client to overcome their challenges

I practice CBT techniques during my assessments to help clients openly express their thoughts and feelings.

My Qualifications & Experience

I have a degree in Social Work and Social Administration and practice as a GSCC registered Social Worker, full time employed by OBMH-Oxfordshire Early Intervention Service Team providing CBT to individuals under the supervision of Dr. Phil Davison, a Specialist Consultant within OBMH. My role is to identify preventative and informative ways of working with young people at risk or experiencing some form of episode of psychosis (aimed at preventing hospital admission).

I have 9 years experience as a Counsellor/Trainer and a Consultant Community Development Officer working for the UNHCR/WHO/UNCEF in East Africa. During this period I gained extensive experience of working as a Trauma Counsellor with refugee’s children, their families and young adults affected by armed conflict mainly using CBT as a psychotherapeutic approach that aims to resolve problems concerning dysfunctional emotions and behaviours and perceptions through a goal-oriented, systematic procedure. I am qualified to work as a counsellor and trainer in the IPSER/UNHCR/WHO Programme “The Identification, Management and Prevention of psychological and mental health problems of refugees and victims of organized violence within primary healthcare (adults and children)”.

As a Practitioner, I liaise very closely with other partners like the NHS, local GP’s, Schools, Colleges, Universities as well as other relevant Practitioners.

Client Testimonials
