WORKSTYLESports' Therapy focuses on improving the condition
of the It is as much the therapist as it is the therapy itself that ensures the benefit of the treatment. I will endeavour to understand your condition and explain to you its causes and the potential outcomes. I feel it my responsibility to encourage as much self management from yourself as you are comfortable with. I have been a professional and qualified sports' coach (rowing) and personal trainer for some years, working at the University of Oxford and elsewhere. I have wide experience of the effects of work, training, overuse and underactivity on the body. It is a part of the therapists' duties to make appropriate referrals to other healthcare providers within and outside the NHS. I maintain close contact with local resources to ensure any recommendations are made with confidence. EDUCATION I have qualifications in massage, sports' coaching, personal training, fitness instruction and other related subjects. In order to keep abreast of current developments and maintain my memberships of professional bodies, I attend regular conferences and lectures on sports science, nutrition and other relevant topics. CLIENTELE Although I do deal with some athletes and competitively
active people, I have many clients over the age of 70 who find my work, advice
and support a valuable aid in improving their mobility, relieving their discomfort
and motivating them to expect - and get - more from their lives. Most clients
come from personal recommendation. I depend on my reputation and effectiveness
to ensure my livelihood. I hope that I may be of use to you or someone you
know. Please do get in contact to discuss your special requirements. |
